Description

The Glenfiddich IPA Experiment is an intriguing version of the famous Glenfiddich Single Malt , characterised by the infusion in casks that have previously contained IPA (India Pale Ale) beer . This maturation experiment represents a unique fusion between two production traditions: that of Scotch whisky and that of beer. The use of these casks imparts a distinctive freshness to the whisky, with a combination of malt notes and hoppy aromas, making it fresh, fruity and aromatic.

Tasting Notes

Color: Bright gold.
Nose: The nose is fruity, with notes of fresh citrus, mango and a light fragrance of hops . A touch of light spices emerges, along with delicate floral notes.
Taste: On the palate it is fresh and lively, with a citrus attack and an incredible honey note that develops into a soft and rounded body. The finish is dry, slightly bitter, with an aftertaste of hops and toasted malt , reminiscent of IPA beer.
