Collection: Yellow Muscat
The Moscato Giallo grape variety, a white grape, is part of the so-called aromatic grape varieties. It is grown in the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Lombardy, Molise, Sicily, Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto. Moscato Giallo is a vine that represents a sub-variety of Moscato Bianco, but according to some researchers it has developed characteristics so different that it can be considered a different variety. " Moscato " has very ancient origins and seems to come from Greece. It was already cultivated by the Romans in Italy at least since the 2nd century BC. During the Middle Ages, wine was served at the tables of princes or refined gourmets. Its diffusion in Italy in such a remote era has allowed the vine to adapt completely to the production areas. Moscato Giallo has a light, golden straw yellow color. Its aroma is delicate with light scents of nutmeg and essence of grapefruit and cedar. The taste of Moscato Giallo in the mouth is aromatic, fragrant and fresh, intense with a light flavor and a persistent aroma.
