Collection: Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio or Pinot Gris (( formerly Tokay Pinot Gris or Tokay d'Alsace )), is a grape variety of gray (gris in French means gray). It is mainly produced in Italy, Slovenia, France, Switzerland and Germany (under the name of Ruländer, Grauer Mönch or Grauburgunder). In 2012 it covered a production area of almost 5,000 hectares. The wine produced from this grape variety is copper-colored, it is often vinified in white but if vinified in contact with the skins it takes on its peculiar copper color and is theoretically less "gifted" than its white or black variant. With a generous character that develops characteristic opulence and flavor. Structured, round and long in the mouth, it has complex aromas of undergrowth, sometimes slightly smoky or floral. Pinot Grigio goes well with appetizers, especially cold cuts, fish and white meats. It can also be served as an aperitif.
