Collection: Yellow Ribolla

Ribolla gialla is a white grape variety native to Friuli Venezia Giulia, Slovenia and Kefalonia in the Ionian Islands. White wine made from Ribolla grapes is typically a light-bodied wine with high acidity and floral notes. Many producers in the Friuli Collio, Gorizia Hills and Vipava Valley regions ferment the variety with its skins, to produce a more substantial style, now commonly known as orange wine or so-called orange wines. Ribolla is a grape variety that loves hilltops, well-drained, windy and mineral soils. It ripens slowly, harvested at the end of September and this allows it to develop elegant but discreet aromas and flavors.
