From the La Crena region located in the municipality of Agliano Terme with an average density per hectare of 4,800 plants grown in Guyot. The oldest part of the vineyard was planted in 1932 on a silt-clayey soil with southern exposure. The total surface area is approximately 6 hectares. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in open steel vats for a duration of approximately 2 weeks, with a mechanical fungal system, “délestage” and numerous pumping over in the open air. After the alcoholic fermentation, a post-fermentative maceration takes place with the skins, everything is then racked and transferred to barriques for malolactic.
Ageing: approximately 18 months in barriques, casks and steel
Ruby red in colour with aromas of ripe and concentrated fruit of red blackberry and cherry with spicy notes.
Pair with stews, pasta, game, roast red meats and mature cheeses.
