The “Masseria” comes from grapes of vineyards located in Neive and Treiso. The soil is calcareous-clayey with southern exposure. During alcoholic fermentation the must remains for about 3 weeks in open steel vats. Daily “déléstage”, fungature and pumping over in the open air are performed. Malolactic fermentation in barriques.
Aging: Approximately 2 and a half years in barrels and barriques.
Ruby red in color, with light garnet nuances. The nose is rich, powerful and concentrated. Hints of ripe fruit are perceived. On the palate it is fresh, full-bodied. Notes of red and black fruit (strawberry, blueberry and blackberry) are perceived. The tannin is ripe, soft, silky and well integrated. The almond note on the finish is particular. Overall very balanced and refined.
It pairs well with stewed meat, game, roasts, strong and mature cheeses.
