Collection: Falanghina
Falanghina is a very ancient vine, native to the slopes of Taburno and some areas of Campi Flegrei, but for some decades the production carried out in Sant'Agata de' Goti has also been famous. It gives rise to various DOCs in Campania, including Falanghina del Taburno, Campi Flegrei, Galluccio. It definitely occupies a central place in Campania wine, from all points of view: productive, territorial and economic. It is the most cultivated white grape variety in the region, with over 2,000 hectares of vineyards. It is the most "transversal" vine, present in all the provinces and in all the main production areas. Falanghina is mainly grown on espaliers with guyot pruning. The vinification of the grapes and the maturation of the wines takes place mostly in steel containers and not in wood, to protect the aromatic fragrance of the wines. The wine obtained from pure Falanghina has a warm straw yellow color with slight greenish reflections. On the nose it presents light floral notes, fruity and mineral aromas, due to the volcanic origin of the cultivation soils. On the palate the flavor is soft, fresh, delicate and with excellent acidity.
