Casale del Giglio's Petit Verdot is a powerful and refined expression of this typical Bordeaux grape variety, which finds an ideal habitat in the Mediterranean climate of Lazio. Careful vinification and aging in wood give the wine structure, complexity and great elegance.
Tasting Notes
- Color: Intense ruby red with purple hues.
- Nose: Intense and complex, with notes of ripe berries, black cherry, sweet spices, black pepper, leather and a hint of dark chocolate.
- Taste: Structured and enveloping, with velvety tannins and great aromatic depth. The finish is long, spicy and with a pleasant mineral persistence.
Recommended pairings
Perfect with red meats, braised meats, game and mature cheeses. Also excellent with spicy and strong-flavoured dishes.
